WRITERS
Craig Goodwill is an award-winning writer and director celebrated for his visually striking, psychologically immersive storytelling. His work spans film, television, and branded content, consistently pushing the boundaries of narrative and genre. Goodwill first gained international recognition with Patch Town (2014), a dark fantasy feature that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) before securing distribution on Netflix. Adapted from his award-winning short, the film won multiple festival accolades for its surrealist world-building and satirical take on identity and consumerism. ​ His latest project, Pablo’s Rhino, is based on a true story and is currently in development for a feature film shoot in fall 2025.

Native Montrealer, Sam Ruano, is a Latino Canadian screenwriter who has written on a wide variety of award-winning shows including Odd Squad: Mobile Unit, Killjoys and Little Mosque on the Prairie to name a few. He is a graduate of CFC’s Prime Time Television writing program, a Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters alumnus, and a 2022 cohort of the WBD Access X Canadian Academy Writers Program. Sam began his career as a videographer on a travel adventure show for Discovery, which involved driving through minefields and being chased by sharks. He currently resides in Brussels where he is developing a sci-fi comedy series for Corus Entertainment. Sam is represented by Meridian Artists.
